Carina Ari Foundation

Carina Ari Stiftelsen

The purpose of the Carina Ari Foundation is to give the Carina Ari Award to persons who have commendably promoted Swedish dance.

This was the first foundation that Carina Ari started, and she participated in giving the first award to Birgit Cullberg in 1961.

The Award medal was sculpted by Carina Ari herself, and depicts her in a pose from her own ballet Månstrålen (The Moonbeam).

Background information on the donations and it's founder, see "About Carina" in Chapter 7.
